Five Important Maintenance Milestones for NissansRegular maintenance is key to keeping your car healthy, optimizing its performance capabilities, and making it last for many years. The schedule you should follow depends on your vehicle, your driving habits, and the weather and road conditions where you drive. Nissan offers two different maintenance schedules. Schedule one is for those who drive in severe conditions, and schedule two is for less severe conditions. Here are some of the important maintenance milestones for Nissans, so you know when to bring it into the dealership for service.

1. 3,750 Miles or Three Months

When your vehicle hits three months or 3,750 miles and you follow the schedule one maintenance, you should bring it in for an oil and filter change. If you follow the schedule two guidelines, you can wait another few months unless you drive a Titan FFV or an Armada FFV. You should bring those in for an oil and filter change.

2. 7,500 Miles or Six Months

At 7,500 miles or six months, those following schedule one should have the oil and filter changed again. Nissan service center technicians will rotate the tires and inspect the axle and suspension. They will also check the brake pads, drive shaft boots, exhaust system, and steering system, including the gear, linkage, and linkage ball joints. If you follow the schedule two maintenance, during your first oil and filter change you should also have the tires rotated.

The Top 5 Features of the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder SLThe Pathfinder is Nissan’s midsize crossover SUV, with three rows for passengers and a good 16 cubic feet to spare behind them for cargo. The 2017 Pathfinder has four trim levels, and the SL is the second most expensive with a starting MSRP of $36,100. While the model doesn’t have as many features as the top-level Platinum, you may find that it offers all the things that are most important to you.

A New Engine

For 2017, Nissan refreshed the Pathfinder design, changing the exterior appearance in the front and rear and upgrading the engine. The new V6 power plant offers 284 horsepower, which is 24 ponies more than the 2016 model. The Top Four Vehicle Questions We Have AnsweredThere are a few questions everyone wants to know about when it comes to cars, trucks and other vehicles. These are a few of the more common questions, along with the answers you’re looking for.

Is Premium Fuel Better?

The premium fuel you see at the gas station comes with a higher price and a higher octane count, but that’s no reason to think it’ll give you a better performance or efficiency. What high-octane fuel does is prevent knocking, which is the sound an engine makes when the fuel isn’t burning correctly. If you ignore it, you could damage the pistons and the valves, but you only have to worry about that if you have a sensitive, high-quality engine. Normal engines can run on regular gasoline forever, and the owner’s manual warns you if you need to use a higher grade of fuel.

5 Tips to Help You Survive Your First Speeding TicketSo it finally happened. A police officer pulled you over. Maybe you were in a hurry today, or maybe you didn’t notice when the speed limit changed as you passed through a small town. Maybe you found a speed trap the hard way, or maybe you were following the speed limit carefully and the officer’s traffic radar isn’t working right. There are many reasons why the police might pull you to the side of the road, but once they have, there are a few things you should keep in mind.

Keep Your Hands on the Wheel

When the police pull you over, many people will pull out their wallets and insurance cards while they wait for the officer to come up to their window. However, you should wait until the officer asks for your license to pull it out. If the police see you moving around inside your vehicle, they might suspect you’re trying to hide something or get a weapon. Keeping your hands on the steering wheel except when you’re getting your papers helps everyone stay relaxed.

All About the 2017 Nissan Titan XD Platinum Reserve in Charlotte, NCYears ago, Nissan conducted a survey and found that a lot of pickup truck owners were dissatisfied with their options. Half-ton pickup owners often find themselves pushing the limits of their truck’s capacities. Three-quarter-ton trucks often have more than they need, which means owners pay too much on monthly payments and extra fuel. That’s why Nissan created the Titan XD, a truck that splits the difference and offers a “just right” size for truck buyers who need it. For the 2017 model, the top trim is the Platinum Reserve, and it comes with plenty of great features.

1. Two Engine Options

Like most heavy-duty trucks but few half-ton models, the 2017 Titan XD offers both a gasoline and a diesel engine option. The gas engine is a 5.6-liter V8, and it comes with 390 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque. With the right configuration, this engine lets the Titan XD carry up to 2,910 pounds in the truck bed.

The other option is a Cummins 5.0-liter V8 turbo diesel. With one of those under the hood, the Titan XD delivers 310 horsepower and 555 pound-feet of torque. When you put the engine in the right truck configuration and install the Convenience and Utility Package, the XD tows up to 12,640 pounds. This includes using a gooseneck hitch, which is something you can’t find on lighter models.
