The 2016 Nissan Juke comes in five trim levels: the ($20,250 MSRP), the SV ($22,300 MSRP), the SL ($25,240 MSRP), the NISMO ($24,830 MSRP), and the NISMO RS ($28,020 MSRP). Exterior differences between the five are minimal, with the biggest changes coming on the two NISMO trims.Smoked combination lamps, LED daytime running lights, red mirror caps, red brake calipers, body-color fender lip moldings, a high-gloss B-pillar finish, and several other exterior details are all unique to the NISMO and NISMO RS.

The first four trim levels feature the 1.6L Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that is capable of 188 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque. Other standard features include a Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS) on intake and exhaust valves, the Nissan Direct Ignition System, double-tipped iridium spark plugs, and an electronic drive-by-wire throttle. The NISMO RS includes a similar engine, but NISMO-tuned to achieve 215 hp and 210 lb-ft of torque.The S, SV, and SL come equipped with an Xtronic CVT (continuously variable transmission) with sport mode. The same transmission comes on all-wheel-drive NISMO models, while front-wheel-drive versions include a 6-speed manual transmission instead.

Fuel economy for the first three trim levels is 28 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. The NISMO trim achieves 34 mpg on the highway, while the NISMO RS drops to 25/31 mpg. Emissions ratings for every trim are Tier 2-Bin 5 (federal) or LEV2-ULEV (California models). Although front-wheel drive comes standard, torque vectoring all-wheel drive is available.Performance is where the NISMO trim levels really stand out — with the NISMO aerodynamic body kit, NISMO-tuned suspension and steering, 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels, and summer tires. The NISMO RS adds increased body rigidity, better handling, and reduced body roll, as well as a NISMO-tuned DIG turbocharged engine.

Every 2016 Juke comes with some impressive interior features, including NissanConnect with mobile apps, Siri Eyes Free, a hands-free text messaging assistant, cruise control, and the Bluetooth hands-free phone system. However, upgrading to a higher trim does come with perks. For instance, the SL and above include NissanConnect navigation, a 5.8-inch touchscreen monitor, and voice recognition. NISMO models add several unique features, including a NISMO tachometer, synthetic suede trim, red stitching, and sport bucket front seats.The Juke seats five with an interior passenger volume of 86.7 cubic feet (or 85.4 cubic feet when equipped with a moonroof). Cargo volume is 10.5 cubic feet with the rear seats up or 35.9 cubic feet with them down.

A rearview camera comes standard on every 2016 Juke, with the SL and above adding an Around View camera with moving object detection. Other standard features include the Nissan Advanced Air Bag System, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), traction control, an energy-absorbing steering column, hood buckling creases, and both front and rear crumple zones.
