Nissan-interior-2Keeping your interior immaculate not only helps keep your vehicle looking new, but will help you maintain the best resale value possible. Riding in a clean vehicle is a comfortable, happy experience compared to riding in one that needs a good cleaning! Here are some tips for keeping the interior of your vehicle clean:

Have a System to Eliminate Garbage

If you spent a lot of time in your vehicle it is easy to start collecting trash. Having a system to keep the garbage out of your car is the easiest way to keep it looking neat. Receipts, food wrappers, and empty water bottles or soda cans are commonly found in vehicles. Keep a small garbage bag in your car to toss the trash out when you’re driving, and remember to bring it in with you to throw away when you return home. Keep extra grocery bags in the glove compartment just for this purpose, and you’ll always be ready.

Keep it Smelling Good

Use air fresheners or odor neutralizers to keep the smell of your vehicle fresh and clean. Wipe your dashboard down with car-safe wipes, clean your windows with glass cleaner, and put in new air fresheners whenever the fragrance is no longer noticeable.

Vacuum

Vacuum your vehicle once a month or so and you’ll prevent build-up of dust and small debris. Cars collect a lot of dirt from your shoes and clothes, and if you eat in the cabin area, you’ll have crumbs finding new homes in the crevices of your seats and on the floors. Use your vacuum attachments to get into the crevices and small areas for the best results.
