How to Find the Right Nissan For YouFinding the right car isn't something that happens overnight. It requires tons of research regarding vehicle features and finding the best deal available. However, it's entirely possible that this process leads you to a new Nissan. So, once you've decided a Nissan is the car for you, it's time to choose the perfect match to fit your needs and lifestyle. Here are just a few suggestions to mull over.

Fuel-Efficiency vs. Performance

Perhaps one of the most frequent debates in finding the right Nissan is whether you want something that gets excellent fuel economy or a car that pushes your face back into the seat when you hit the accelerator. Typically, this is a clear-cut question. If you lean more towards the economical side of Nissan, you'll find nine models that get a minimum of 30 miles per gallon highway. For speed freaks, the 370Z with 332 horsepower and the GT-R with 545-horsepower are natural choices. If you want the best of both worlds, opt for an Altima that gets 39 miles per gallon highway, but still packs 182 horsepower.

Cargo Space & Towing Capacity

Another concern for you is probably the amount of passengers or cargo that a Nissan can handle. Luckily, you have ample options. Nissan has six sizeable SUVs and crossovers and a minivan to get the job done. The Armada is the largest of the Nissan SUV family with nearly 99 cubic feet of cargo space, while the Nissan Quest, Nissan's minivan entry, gets a stellar 108 cubic feet. For those that need towing capacity for a trailer or boat, Nissan's mid-sized truck, the Frontier, pulls up to 6,100 pounds, while the full-size, North American Car of the Year Finalist Titan XD can tow up to 9,300 pounds.

Budget Constraints

One of the simple rules of car buying is don't purchase a vehicle outside your means. With that said, Nissan makes it easy to fit tighter budgets with many of its offerings. For 2016, Nissan offers nine different models with a price under $25,000. Looking for a car for a first-time driver? There are four cars available for under $17,000, including the Versa, which is a bargain at only $11,990.

Environmental Concerns

As mentioned before, Nissan provides a ton of vehicles with excellent fuel efficiency. However, there's still another way to reduce your carbon footprint. The best way to do this is by taking a strong look at the Nissan Leaf. For 2016, this top-selling electric car gets even better fuel economy thanks to two battery sizes. It can get either 84 or 107 miles on a single charge, and get the equivalent of up to 126 miles per gallon. Plus, it gives off no harmful emissions. For a short commute or running errands, it's the perfect match. Hopefully, this guide served as a way to narrow the choice, although it may have done the opposite once you've seen the various Nissan selections.
